Relationships, couples and marriage
Couples and marriage counselling
Most couples do not arrive because of one argument. They arrive because the same argument keeps happening, or because the conversations stopped and something quieter settled in their place.
What it can look like
- The same conflict repeating without ever resolving
- Communication that has gone silent, or hostile
- Emotional distance — living more like housemates
- Difficulty after a betrayal or a major life change
- Pressure from family expectations on the relationship
What therapy does about it
Couples work usually focuses on the pattern rather than the incident: what each person does when they feel unheard, and how that lands on the other. Sessions can be with both partners or, where that is not possible, with one. Family expectations are treated as part of the picture, not a side issue.
